My wife loves playing records, but we had to disassemble the living room audio setup when we couldn’t find make it baby-safe. I fixed that last night. :)
The player, amp, and speaker were too much to stack, out of reach, in any one part of the living room, but if we spread them out, then the cables became an attractive nuisance. After some research, I ordered a Sennheiser BT T100 Bluetooth Audio Transmitter and 1Mii B06 Plus Bluetooth Receiver to connect the record player to the amp wirelessly from across the room.
I read that if you’re not careful, Bluetooth devices will fall back to an audio codec that highly compresses the dynamic range of the audio, so I chose these devices for their mutual support of aptX, which a few sources told me was the best for music. These devices were also easy to set up: after I plugged both of them in, they both entered pairing mode, found each other, and connected in just a few seconds.
We’ve only used them for a few hours, but I feel good about this setup so far!
